Northern Ireland Without International Win Since October 2019

But the shock of last night's action came in Germany's clash with North Macedonia.

Northern Ireland remain without an international win since October of 2019.

Boss Ian Baraclough says their goalless draw with Bulgaria last night means there's a 'different slant' on their World Cup qualifying campaign.

They have just one point from their opening two Group C games.

Baraclough says his side now have to win away at the likes of Switzerland - which is doable:

Italy are top of Group C following a 2-nil win away to Lithuania.

Two goals from John McGinn helped fire Scotland to a 4-nil win over the Faroe Islands for a first victory in qualifying for the 2022 World Cup.

They're up to second in their group, four points behind early leaders Denmark - who themselves beat Austria 4-nil last night.

Manager Steve Clarke feels they're building some really good momentum:

England maintained their 100 per cent start to Group I with a 2-1 win at home to Poland.

They survived a scare to make it three wins from as many group games.

John Stones set-up Harry Maguire's decisive goal, after his error allowed their opponents to equalise at Wembley.

Southgate, while he can't ignore the mistake, he's pleased with his reaction:

But the shock of the night came in Group J, where Germany lost 2-1 at home to North Macedonia.

The four-time World Cup winners are behind both Armenia and North Macedonia in that group.
