A second arbitration meeting is in the offing.
A second arbitration meeting will take place between Offaly County Board and Tullamore GAA next month.
It's hoped it will resolve their ongoing dispute about the lease of O'Connor Park.
An initial hearing took place in early December while another set for this month was cancelled.
The debacle began when the Offaly executive sought a reduction in the rent due because of the impact of covid-19 on their income and later withheld one of their payments.
More central to the problem is the cost of renting the stadium by Offaly, which is in the region of €60,000. The county board would like to buy Tullamore out of their share of the ground in the long term.
Any re-structuring of the existing contract would need to provide for the removal of a requirement for Tullamore GAA to approve the use of the venue for other events.
It appears as if the two will remain at an impasse for another month at least.
