It proved to be a nervy contest at O'Connor Park.
Offaly have maintained their status in the Leinster Senior Hurling Championship for next year, after a hard fought win over Antrim yesterday in Tullamore on a 3-15 to 1-16 scoreline.
It looked like The Faithful County would win comfortably after Niall O'Connor was shown a straight red card after just four minutes.
However, the midlanders were made to work for their win, and had to wait till the 66th minute to close out the victory thanks to a Killian Sampson goal.
Offaly manager Johnny Kelly was relieved to come out on the winning side.
