Offaly Chairman Michael Duignan believes GAA stadiums should be operating at 30% of their capacity.
At the moment up to 200 fans can attend Championship fixtures this weekend including Offaly v Louth, Laois against Wexford and the Ladies League Final between the O'Moore county and Kildare.
In a tweet, Duignan says the scientific evidence shows outdoor activity is safe and the government should have started the re-opening outside.
Why can’t we have at least 30% crowd capacity at matches this weekend? This time last year we had no idea if outdoor activity was safe, we now have scientific evidence that it is. I’m delighted to see retail, hospitality etc open open but surely we should have started outside!
