A planning decision is due on February 3rd.
Almost a year ago Tullamore GAA Club lodged a planning application to create an all weather pitch in O'Brien Park on the Arden Road.
Further information was requested by the local authority in April relating to the floodlights that would be in place and the car parking facilities proposed to deal with an increase in usage of the facility.
That information was provided to planning officials earlier this month and a final decision can now be made on February 3rd.
The development includes an 80mx40m artificial pitch (roughly the width of a full size GAA pitch in length and a half size in width). An LED floodlight system and scoreboard is also being proposed.
It would mark the latest tranche of improvements for a club going from strength to strength on the pitch at the moment.
