The Clara is in Ireland before going to The Open in Scotland next week.
Offaly GAA have confirmed that golfing superstar Shane Lowry will be taking part in the Grand Canal Walk fundraiser later this month.
The fundraiser for Offaly GAA and its 41 clubs, on the revised date of Saturday, July 23rd, has already raised almost €50,000 in online donations.
Shane has been back in Ireland since last week, playing the Irish Open in Mount Juliet before taking part in the JP McManus Pro-Am on Monday and yesterday.
In a brief statement this afternoon, Offaly GAA said they're delighted to announce Shane's participation in the walk.
