The Crossmolina man has been in charge of the faithful since 2018 and was present in the stands at the All-Ireland final on Sunday.
The Faithful county have shown continued improvement during his tenure, maintaining their division three status in back to back campaigns before achieving promotion to division two for 2022 this year.
Maughan has previously name-checked players from the successful team such as prolific forward Jack Bryant as potential candidates for a call up to the senior panel in the near future.
Speaking afterwards Sunday's decider, Offaly chairman Michael Duignan said discussions are ongoing about his continued involvement.
He added winning an U20 title is a bonus to the development of underage structures in the county:
