Offaly Man Wins Prestigious Racing Award Following Switch From Career As Chef

Keith Lynam was rewarded for his excellence at the Godolphin Stud and Stable Staff Awards.

An Offaly man has won a prestigious prize at the 2021 Irish Godolphin Stud and Stable Staff Awards. 

Keith Lynam from Castlejordan faced two rivals in the newcomer of the year category. 

The 31 year-old only took up the stud groom role at Ringford Stud in Offaly in 2017 having previously worked as a chef. 

Recently Mr. Lynam had a proud moment during Royal Ascot when one of the horses he once cared for won under Frankie Dettori:
