Offaly Senior Football Manager John Maughan has described as "devastating" the loss of defensive stalwart Niall Darby to a serious knee injury.
The Rhode clubman suffered a cruciate injury in training on Tuesday, as the panel prepared for their Tailteann Cup semi-final with Westmeath on Sunday.
John Maughan says multiple players have also been affected by a vomiting bug in the lead up to this game.
But he says Darby injury has been particularly difficult to take:
