Offaly Minor Footballers Book Leinster Semi-Final With Dramatic Late Win

Fionn Carney kicked an injury time winner in Tullamore last night.

There was high drama last night in the quarter-finals of the Electric Ireland Leinster Minor Football Championship.

In the third minute of injury-time, Fionn Carney kicked the winning point for Offaly, who were 2-11 to 1-13 victors over Louth.

Meath were seven-points down at the break, but came back to beat Wexford 3-14 to 1-11.

The Faithful County will now take on Dublin the Minor semi-final in O'Connor Park on Wednesday.

On the other half of the draw Meath will face Kildare in Hawkfield with both games throwing in at 7.30.

Later this evening, Offaly will try to win a first Leinster under-20 hurling title since the year 2000.

They take on Wexford in the provincial decider, with a 7.30 start at Netwatch Cullen Park.

The winners will play Cork in the All Ireland final.
