Offaly Secure Win Over Laois In Leinster U20 Hurling Championship

Westmeath were heavily beaten by Antrim.

Offaly picked up their opening win of the season in the Leinster U20 Championship on Saturday.

Leo O’Connor’s men saw off the challenge of midlands rivals Laois as they secured a 1-20 to 2-16 win in O’Moore Park.

Despite the best efforts of Cormac Byrne and Eoghan Murphy, it was the Faithful who came away with the win.

Mark Mulrooney came up with the winning point to break Laois hearts.

Offaly turn their attention to Meath this Thursday, while Laois go to Dublin this Saturday.

Meanwhile, Westmeath suffered a heavy defeat away to Antrim on a final scoreline of 3-22 to 1-12.

The Lake County face Kerry at home this Saturday.
