Offaly Senior Hurling Championship Weekend Preview

Four games are down for decision.

There's a full round of fixtures the Senior Hurling Championship in Offaly this weekend.

At half 7 this evening, last years semi-finalists Shinrone open their challenge against newly promoted Ballinamere in Rath.

It's a repeat from the championship last year which saw Shinrone run out comfortable winners.

Former All-Ireland Hurling final referee Brian Gavin says the gap will be a lot closer this year:

At the same time, 2019 county finalists Birr take on Kilcormac Killoughey in Banagher.

Brian thinks the youth in the Birr ranks might just edge it:

Our coverage of that game is brought to you by Kelly's Central Education and Office Supplies, O'Connell Street Birr, for back to school and office supplies.

See Kelly's CEOS on Instagram and Facebook"

On Saturday, Seir Kieran play Coolderry.

While in the other fixture, it's a repeat of last year's semi-final as Belmount take on champions St. Rynagh's in O'Connor park.

Brian Gavin says that one will come down to a single puck:
