It all begins with a trip to Sligo.
A win for Offaly in Markievicz Park this Saturday won't atone for last year's defeat at the hands of Down but it will propel the faithful one third of the way towards promotion.
Their unbeaten league campaign against a majority of sides playing at Joe McDonagh level will have gone a long way to assuaging any lingering demons and they'll be firmly cast a side if a victory over Sligo is secured without fuss.
Michael Fennelly will be aware that there's little room for error.
A shock defeat would not eliminate Offaly as they'll still progress to the quarter-finals but after last year's debacle all involved will be hoping for a painless passage to the next stage on the road back to the Leinster Championship.
Throw-in is at 3pm on Saturday.

Offaly starting XV:
Conor Clancy; Paddy Delaney, Ciaran Burke, David King; Aidan Tracey, Ben Conneely, Killian Sampson; Leon Fox, Ross Ravenhill; Eoghan Cahill Liam Langton, Brian Duignan; Oisin Kelly, John Murphy, Shane Dooley.
