A new format is in action for this year's competition.
This year's Offaly Senior Football Championship throws in for the first time this evening.
Shamrocks are set to host Ferbane in Mucklagh.
The home side's campaign ended in the group stage last year, while Ferbane were beaten in the county final by Tullamore.
All sides will progress from the group stages this year, with seedings for the quarter-finals being fought over in the first three games for each club.
Another new feature of the championship format is each team will get one home game, one away day, and one match at a neutral venue.
Midlands 103 commentator Brian Gavin says Ferbane will be hoping their dual players avoid getting injuries with Belmont.
