Offaly Woman Sets New Northern Irish Marathon Record

She beat her own previous record, set in Dublin in 2019.

An Offaly woman has set new Northern Irish marathon record.

Former Tullamore Harrier Ann-Marie McGlynn was representing Letterkenny AC at yesterday's Wrexham Elite Marathon.

She gained a huge personal best, Commonwealth Standard and beat her own Northern Irish marathon record with a time of 2:29.34.

She narrowly missed out on the Olympic standard by four seconds.

Ann-Marie beat her own previous record of 2:34.54, which she set in Dublin in 2019.
