Official Statement Expected On Heineken Cup Knockout Stages

Leinster and Munster will advance.

English Premiership boss Darren Childs has revealed that the European Champions Cup pool stages will be shelved in favour of a knockout format in April. 

The tournament is currently suspended due to the COVID 19 crisis. 

No official announcement has been made yet, but Leinster are set to play Gloucester in the last 16, with Munster to host the Scarlets. 

Munster legend Alan Quinlan would have preferred to have seen the pool stage completed:
