O'Gara Recalls Memories Of Playing With Birr And Mundy

It was the summer of 85.....

The Champions Cup's greatest ever points scorer is reflecting on his time playing for a local Offaly club in the 80s.

In 1985, Birr RFC was invited to, and won the inaugural U10’s Tom Kettle Cup in Balbriggan.

On that team was a young Ronan O'Gara, Edmond Enright A.K.A Mundy, and former golf pro Richie Coughlan.

O'Gara says Mundy would later come to regret his association with the Munster and Ireland Flyhalf:
