A name other than Portlaoise will be etched on the trophy this year for just the second time since 2006.
Places in the 2020 Laois Senior Football Championship Final will be decided this weekend.
A name other than Portlaoise will be etched on the trophy this year for just the second time since 2006.
Portarlington, Ballyfin, Emo and Graiguecullen are the names left in contention for the longest running championship in the history of Laois GAA.
First up this evening Emo and Graiguecullen clash at MW Hire O'Moore Park at 7.45pm.
Emo are looking to advance to a first final since losing out in a replay in 2015 while Graigue haven't been in the decider since falling victim to Portlaoise a decade ago.
24 hours later on Saturday championship favourites with the bookies Portarlington and outsiders Ballyfin meet.
That's been fixed for 7.00pm in O'Moore Park.
Ballyfin have never made the final of a Laois Senior Football Championship and Portarlington will aim to reach a first final since winning it all in 2001.
No matter what the outcome of these games, a drought will end for one Laois parish in two weeks time.
