Plucky Portlaoise Fall Short In Bid To Dethrone Six Time Leinster Champions

It was a very solid performance from Stephen Duff's young side.

Foxrock/Cabinteely were crowned Leinster Ladies senior club champions for a sixth year in succession after defeating Portlaoise in Kinnegad. 

The Dublin champions, who included Westmeath's Fiona Claffey in their squad had five points to spare, 2-4 to 1-12 the final score. 

They needed all their stars however after the Laois champions led 1-1 to no score in the early stages.
