The Harps clubman captained the college in the 2022 Fitzgibbon Cup.
Laois hurling co-captain Podge Delaney has been named IT Carlow's Senior Hurling Player of the Year.
The Harps clubman captained IT Carlow as their Fitzgibbon Cup campaign came to an end in the semi-finals with a heartbreaking late defeat to the eventual champions UL.
He was rewarded by IT Carlow with the player of the year award at a ceremony last night.
Podge's performances also saw him named on the Higher Education GAA Rising Stars Hurling Team of the Year.
An arm injury is currently ruling him out of action for Laois.
Congratulations to @CLGLaois & @TheHarpsGAA club man Podge Delaney who was named the @itcarlow Senior Hurling player of the year at last night's award ceremony. Hard luck to Chris Nolan & Niall Brassil who also had a great campaign with the Fitzgibbon team. pic.twitter.com/oMh3WhJk43
