Portlaoise Grind Out Win To Claim Laois Senior Ladies Title

It's the club's second championship success in a row.

Portlaoise have "grinded out results" and "matured so much over the past year" says their manager Stephen Duff. 

He watched his side secure a second Laois Senior Ladies Football title in a row on Saturday as they overcame St Conleth's by 1-06 to 0-07. 

Sarah Anne Fitzgerald got an early second half goal which was the difference in the end. 

They will also now compete in the Leinster Club Championship where they will face Longford champions Longford Slashers in two weeks’ time.
