Portlaoise Panthers Overpowered By UCC Glanmire In National Cup

The Laois side suffered a heavy defeat yesterday.

Portlaoise Panthers suffered defeat in the Women's Super League National Cup over the weekend. 

The Laois side fell to a 81-53 loss away to UCC Glanmire at the Neptune Stadium yesterday. 

Viane Cumber led the way for the Cork side with 24 points, as they outscored their opponents by 21-9 in the second quarter. 

Jessica Fressle was the leading scorer for the Panthers as she finished with 12 points. 

They return to league action this weekend as they take on Liffey Celtics this Saturday.
