Portlaoise Panthers Suffer Defeat In Women's Super League

It's been a tough start to the season for the club.

The Midlands Park Portlaoise Panthers suffered defeat in the Women's Super League over the weekend. 

The Laois club were beaten by The McEvoy's Cavan Eagles 70-57.

Cavan produced a strong team performance, with Katie O'Sullivan's finishing with 21 points, while Mazatkan Harris's came away with11 points and 12 rebounds.

For Portlaoise, it was a second consecutive defeat after leading by 15 points early on, as Jessica Fressle stood out for the Panthers with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

The Panthers will aim to rebound when they host UCC Glanmire next weekend.
