Portlaoise Panthers Suffer First Competitive Defeat Of The Season

The Laois side were beaten by Limerick Sport Eagles in the cup.

Portlaoise Panthers suffered their first defeat of the season in the MD1 National Cup. 

Jack Scully's side were beaten in the first round at the hands of Limerick Sport Eagles on a final scoreline of 83-71in St Mary's Hall. 

Rich Ashu was also forced off due to injury. 

Limerick Sport Eagles will now face Carrick Cruisers in the quarter-finals, while the Panthers return to action this weekend in the National League at home toTitans BC.
