It'll take place in Belfast in August.
It's being described as the most significant Irish bout in decades and it involves TJ Doheny.
Yesterday he announced that he would be taking on Belfast's Michael Conlon on August 6th at the Falls Park in Belfast.
A win for either fighter will cement their claim to a world title shot in the coming months.
Doheny is on the comeback trail having lost in surprising fashion to Ionut Baluta in March 2020 whom Conlon defeated in his most recent bout three months ago.
It's only the second lost on the Portlaoise boxer's CV, his overall record is 22-2 with 6 KO's. The Belfast man is yet to taste defeat with a 15-0 record with 8 knockouts.
Tj Doheny has previously won a world title at this weight back in 2018.
Speaking about the Laois man, Conlon had this to say:
It will be an honour to share the ring with TJ. I have a lot of respect for him and his achievements. I believe it’s my toughest fight to date, and with that, I will make my biggest statement in my quest to become a world champion.
Tickets will be on sale on Ticketmaster from 10am on Friday.
