The draw follows a round of games that saw St Joseph's come through comfortably against Courtwood yesterday evening.
Defeat would have spelled the end of Joseph's championship defence.
The final score in Portlaoise was 3-16 to 0-9.
Portarlington were 2-13 to 0-6 winners against Clonaslee St Manman's.
Killeshin were impressive six point winners over Emo, 0-16 to 1-7.
And O'Dempsey's and Rosenallis produced eight goals, ultimately to see O'Dempsey's progress 5-16 to 3-12.
