The Athlone club led at half time but failed to score in the second period.
The Buccaneers dropped to bottom of the Division 1B league after a home defeat to relegation rivals Queens of Belfast.
In a must win, wet and muddy contest, the Buccs slumped to a 35-16 loss, allowing Queens to leapfrog them in the table.
They started well, going 6-0 up in first few minutes as Mark Earle slotted over penalties.
Buccaneers finished the first half 16-15 ahead.
However it was their last points of the game as the Belfast team went on to dominate the second half and take a bonus point win.
Elsewhere in Division 2C, Tullamore lost a crucial game to Enniscorthy 16-13, leaving them outside of the promotion places.
