The Dubai Racing Channel also recorded a special package about him.
Jebel Ali racecourse in the UAE has run a race bearing the name of Offaly jockey Pat Smullen.
It took place yesterday afternoon with a prize fund of $100,000 and was won by a local trainer.

Smullen had a number of winners at the track during his career, with his first coming all the way back in 1996.
He would go onto win six races at the track that season on the back of winning the apprentice jockeys crown here in Ireland.
