Westmeath club with storming second-half display
A late point from Jessica Fitzell denied Raharney a sensational victory in the All Ireland Junior final in Nenagh yesterday.
Clanmaurice of Kerry started the game the hot favourites and they led 0-7 to 1-0 at half-time but the Westmeath girls were outstanding in the second half.
Pamela Greville scored five points and Elaine Finn and Erin Core got the Raharney goals, one in each half.
Raharney team manager Padraig Connaughton said afterwards that a draw was probably a fair result:
The replay will be next Sunday.
