Shane Lowry second in poll
John Rahm has been voted the European Tour Golfer of the year edging out Offaly's Shane Lowry for the accolade.
A media panel has chose the 25 year old Spaniard who won three times in 2019 and finished runner up twice.
Shane Lowry who won twice including the Open championship at Portrush was a clear second.
Rahm won the Hero World Challenge in the USA last year and he will defend his title in the Tiger Woods hosted tournament starting later today.
The 16 man field will be headed by Masters Champion Woods. Rahm, Justin Rose, and Henrik Stenson are in action.
Woods plays with Justin Thomas and tees off at 25 to 5 Irish time.
