Adrian Murray described the performance as 'brilliant'.
Owned and bred by Anthony McLoughlin, Sister Bridget landed the eight-furlong fillies’ maiden at Dundalk on Friday for Rathowen trainer Adrian Murray.
A 7/2 chance in the hands of Gary Halpin, the three-year-old raced up with the pace before going clear over a furlong out.
At the line she had a length and a half to spare over the Joseph O'Brien-trained Sistine Madonna and the winning trainer said,
“We had high hopes coming here this evening because she had improved plenty from the last day.
She’s homebred and the man that owns her is delighted.
I trained the dam who was third three times as a two-year-old. This is her first foal so it’s brilliant.”
