Last year's beaten finalists were 2-9 to 1-5 winners over Courtwood at MW Hire O'Moore Park last night.
Courtwood were surprise winners when the sides last met in Championship action last year.
This evening O'Dempseys and Portarlington meet in Portlaoise, that game starts at 7.30 this evening.
Tomorrow there's three games to look forward to, Clonaslee St Manmans v Ballylinan, Ballyroan Abbey v St Jospeh's, and Stradbally v Graiguecullen.
