Rory McIlroy Moves To Third In World

Irish golfer bags 18 million dollars and plenty PGA Tour support.

Rory McIlroy has moved up to third in the latest golf world rankings.

The Holywood native captured a third Fed Ex Cup title last night.

He finished on 21-under-par at East Lake to win the Tour Championship. 

McIlroy is the first player to win the Fed Ex title three times - with Tiger Woods the only other multiple champion. 

This year victory came within the context of the LIV Tour existing. This has meant golfers like McIlroy and Tiger Woods have been doing a lot of flag waiving for the PGA Tour.
