Rowen Baker Secures Opening Stage Win At Rás Tailteann

The first stage set off from Portlaoise yesterday.

Rowen Baker from the Isle of Man won the opening stage of the Rás Tailteann yesterday.

Ewan Mackie of Cycling Connacht came second, while Ireland's Doogan and O'Loughlin finished 7th and 8th.

Stage 1 got underway in Portlaoise yesterday before finishing up in Kilmallock, Co. Limerick.

Stage 2 today will involve a 182.9km race from Rathmore in Co Kerry to Banteer in Co Cork.
