Sexton Plans To Continue Career With National Team

The Irish captain already has 13 years under his belt.

Ireland captain Johnny Sexton says he's keen to keep playing for as long as possible.

The 36-year-old plans to discuss his contract situation with the IRFU after the Six Nations.

The Irish captain has played for the national team since 2009, taking on the captaincy in 2020.

Sexton is likely to start at out-half in Ireland's opener against Wales this Saturday at the Aviva Stadium.

He believes this year's championship could be closer than ever with everyone capable of beating each other
