It was a tough day in North Carolina for The Open Champion.
Two bogeys and two double bogeys ensured Shane Lowry endured a disappointing Saturday afternoon.
Lowry started the day looking for some momentum having just made the Friday cut mark of 2 over par but back to back bogeys on two and three all but ended his hopes of making a move up the leaderboard.

To his credit the Clara man rallied to get back to even par for the day with a pair of birdies on four and eight before two more dropped shots on the par four ninth undid all that good work.
One final birdie on the tenth was cancelled out by another double bogey on the par three thirteenth.
It all means Lowry sits in T-72 on four over par overall heading into the final day.
