Offaly’s Shane Lowry has been selected for Europe’s Ryder Cup team.
The Clara man will compete at his third consecutive Ryder Cup after being one of Luke Donald’s captains picks alongside Jon Rahm, Sepp Straka, Ludvig Aberg Victor Hovland and Matt Fitzpatrick.
Lowry missed out on automatic qualification to Denmark’s Rasmus Hojgaard, but will now be joining the squad with already qualified Rory McIlroy, Robert MacIntyre, Tommy Fleetwood, Justin Rose, Rasmus Højgaard and Tyrell Hatton.
The Ryder Cup begins in New York on September 26th.
