The Clara golfer has been enjoying his practice rounds in recent days.
Shane Lowry will find out his opening round tee-times and playing partners for The Masters later today.
A lot of the talk has centered around the participation of Tiger Woods at Augusta but Lowry will be quietly confident of a strong showing at the first major of 2022.
He enters the tournament 14th in a stat that has produced three winners and a further two, top five golfers in the last five years, shots gained on approach.
The other Irishmen in the field are Rory McIlroy, Padraig Harrington and Seamus Power.
Padraig Harrington has been speaking ahead of the event:
Yeah, I've played a lot of tournaments. The Ryder Cup has been between then and now. Yeah, it was great to get into the Masters with that PGA finish, and yeah, the last couple of weeks for sure, I've been thinking about here. I played a Champions Tour event last week and it would have been on my mind. But now I'm here.
You know, it's one of those weeks you always feel like there's a lot to do. You just can't cover everything, and you just have to accept that.
Do you feel there's many changes or are you just adapting to it, Augusta?
No, I don't think the changes -- there's a couple of changes, but there's just a lot of shots you'd like to practice and play here. You're trying to cover all bases, but as I said, every hole is several shots that you'd like to practice, several different pin positions, and you realize that there isn't enough time in the week and there's no point in tiring yourself out. It is a long week, so you have to be careful.
Tough golf courses don't mind me. It's the physicality, I have a bit of a knee injury, so that's a little bit of an issue for me. If I mind myself, I should be okay.
Everybody is talking about Tiger this week. The fact that he's able to recover again and come back, is that impressive? What do you think?
Look, what's impressive is Tiger won't play here unless he thinks he can win. He's not coming to wave at the crowds. He's coming to try and win the tournament. It looks like he'll tee it up, and if he does, he feels like he can win, and that's impressive.
