Shane Ryan Retires From Competitive Swimming

Ryan competed at three Olympic Games over his career.

Three time Olympian Shane Ryan has announced his retirement from competitive swimming.

The Portarlington swimmer calls time on a career which saw him become the first Irish swimmer to compete at three Olympic Games, along with medals won at multiple World and European Championships. 

The 31 year olds latest medal was a bronze, which he earned at the World Short Course Championships in Budapest last December.
