Slick Liffey Celtics Land Convincing Win Over Panthers In Cup Final

The Laois club were always chasing Liffey Celtics in their Intermediate cup final.

There was Cup final disappointment for the Portlaoise Panthers this weekend.

The Laois club were beaten in the National Intermediate Cup decider by Liffey Celtics in Tallaght Stadium yesterday morning.

The final score of 84-47 makes it back to back Intermediate cups for the Leixlip side.

Maeve Callahane got the opening basket of the contest for Portlaoise Panthers, but after that it the County Kildare outfit took control of proceedings and led from then on.

Sinead Melia led the scoring for the Panthers but Liffey Celtics dominated with Megan Hoffman scoring 22 over the four quarters.
