Southampton Inflict Second League Defeat On Liverpool

The champions still remain top of the table.

An early strike from ex-Liverpool forward Danny Ings further dented the champions' Premier League title defence last night.

His goal was enough to give Southampton a 1-nil win over Jurgen Klopp's side at St. Mary's.

Defeat leaves Liverpool top of the table on goal difference, but they've now played a game more than second placed Manchester United.

Victory for Southampton moved them to sixth in the table.

Their manager Ralph Hasenhuttl was thrilled to take the scalp of the champions.
