Pochettino's men out on penalties
Tottenham's ordinary start to the new football season continued as they were bundled out of the English League Cup by Colchester last night.
The League Two outfit knocked out Spurs 4-3 on penalties in the third round after their match finished goalless.
17 year old Irish youth international Troy Parrott made his competitive debut, but only had one chance of note in the match.
Parrott was replaced midway through the second half by Christian Eriksen, who would miss in the shoot out, along with Lucas Moura.
It's just 2 wins from 8 games for Spurs since the new campaign began back in August.
Elsewhere, Michael Obafemi provided an assist to goalscorer Danny Ings as Southampton won 4-0 at Portsmouth.
And in the pick of the other games, champions Manchester City won 3-0 at Preston, with Arsenal 5-0 winners at home to Nottingham Forest.
