All three ran very respectibly at the highest level.
Three local runners put their best foot forward on home soil as Ireland picked up a handful of medals at the European Cross Country Championships.
There was a top-30 finish for Mullingar Harrier Cormac Dalton in the senior men's race. Dalton was the third Irishman home in a time of 31:33, 1-minute and 18 seconds behind winner and Olympic medalist Jakob Ingebritsen of Norway.
It was a strong performance in an 82 runner field.
In the women's U23 race, Danielle Donegan, a former Tullamore Harrier now representing UCD at club level turned in another strong outing.
A time of 20:03 left her just outside the top-30 finishers in her grade, but she was the second Irishwoman to cross the line after Sarah Healy, who finished 5th.
Donegan's time was around 90-seconds adrift of the winner, Nadia Battocletti of Italy.
Another Tullamore Harrier lined up in the u20 division in the form of Laura Mooney. Mooney has been in very good form stateside, where she is running collegiatly since last year.
In difficult conditions (and ones she will be unused to now) the teenager fared well, running a time of 14:36 for a 55th place finish from 99 participants.
She was the fifth Irish singlet across the line and some 55-seconds behind the winner Megan Keith of Great Britain.
