The Laois club lost out to Limerick Celtics in the Men's Division One final.
Portlaoise Panthers manager Jack Scully says "the best team won" after his side fell just short to Limerick Celtics in the Men's Division One final on Saturday at the National Basketball Arena.
The match was hotly contested throughout with the Limerick side pulling away in the final quarter to win 81 points to 70.
As a result the team from Munster will play in the Men’s Super League for the first time next season.
