Laois ended Down's winning run in Newry on Sunday.
Laois manager Justin McNulty says his players won't be getting carried away after they pulled off a surprise victory against Down yesterday.
The men from Mourne had won all six of their previous outings in Division Three of the football league before the visit of Laois to Pairc Esler.
While McNulty's side were facing an unlikely relegation if results went against them on the day.
As it transpired Laois took fate out of the equation with a four point against the Ulster side.
The final score was 2-22 to 0-24.
