The 2019 Open Champion heads to Augusta for The Masters in good form.

Shane Lowry is better placed to compete for the green jacket at The Masters this year, than any year previous, according to his former coach Donagh McArdle.

The Offaly golfer came close to picking up wins at both the Cognizant Classic and the Arnold Palmer Invitational already this year.

Lowry's best finish at Augusta came two years ago, where he tied for third behind eventual winner Scottie Scheffler.

McArdle says this could be the Clara man's year:

The action gets underway on Thursday.
