Ball is yet to lose a fight in his 22 bouts to date.
Laois boxer TJ Doheny is back in the ring this weekend as he takes on Featherweight World Champion Nick Ball in the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool.
The 38 year old's last fight was against Japanese star Naoya Inoue where the Portlaoise man had to quit in the seventh round because of an apparent back injury.
His opponent comes into the fight looking to defend his title for the second time after defeating Ronny Rios back in October.
Fellow Laois boxer Cian Reddy says Ball is one of the best Featherweight Champions out there.
