Town Belatedly Book Play-Off Spot After Midlands Derby Draw

Athlone Town ended a losing run of four games to keep a clean sheet and progress to the play-offs.

Athlone Town booked their place in this year's First Division play-off semi-final's after their goalless draw at home to Longford on Friday night.

The midlanders just needed a point to secure their place in the race for promotion, with Treaty United's defeat also confirming their place.

They will take on Waterford who finished second in the league in the first leg on Tuesday.

Manager Dario Castelo has led the Westmeath club to this position.

He tells Midlands 103's Oisin Coyne the club feels like family to him:
