It's now six outings since Dario Castelo's side lost in the league.
Athlone Town made it six games unbeaten in the League of Ireland First Division on Friday night with a win over Bray Wanderers.
The midlanders struck first through the league's top scorer Dean Ebbe with a goal in the fifth minute.
Ebbe doubled his tally and Athlone's lead in the second half before Paul Murphy struck to bring Bray back in to the contest.
Athlone were able to keep their promotion rivals out, and could afford for Ebbe to miss from the spot when a hat-trick was on for the striker.
Dario Castelo's side play again this Friday evening in a midlands derby against Longford Town.
