Ringmahon Rangers are heading to the midlands today.
Athlone Town make their bow in the FAI Cup this evening.
The midlanders play host to Munster League side Ringmahon Rangers.
Athlone will be hopeful of a decent campaign in the competition after watching the women's side claim an historic victory in the final last November.
Dario Castelo's side were beaten by Premier Division outfit Derry City at this stage in 2023.

This year, there's a number of high profile all-Premier Division meetings including a Dublin derby between Bohemians and Shamrock Rovers, a Louth derby with Dundalk and Drogheda, while Derry face St Patrick's Athletic.
Elsewhere, it's Carrigaline United versus Wilton United, Cobh Ramblers meet Kerry, Galway United entertain Longford Town, Kilbarrack United go to Treaty United and it's Waterford to face Cockhill Celtic.
All tonight's cup games kick off at 7.45pm.
